Tag-a-long Notice 2024
The Far Western District "Tag-a-long" committee wish to give some advanced information to all those intending to travel on the "2024" Tag that there will be a slight variation to the Mitchell/Morven function days.
The reason being that 4 years ago the member at Goondiwindi asked if the Tag could pass through "Gundy".
After much deliberation each year it was finally determined the proposed route would be the only way to meet the request. It is envisaged this would be a one off to the normal schedule days for the Mitchell/Morven fellowship and rally.

just looked up a mob called 1800 lets go, for the period 16/05/2024 to the 18/07/2024 for a 2 berth motor home at a tad shy of $12,500, not cheap no doubt you dig around you’ll do better. a 2 berth campervan would be cheaper and lighter on fuel, currently Premium diesel is about 1 UK pound a litre with regular 91octane petrol 5-10% cheaper. I suggest that (a) you get some serious travel insurance if you are hiring a vehicle, and it can be expensive if you need medical help, and (b) that you book a minimum of 2 months in advance, depending on your finances and if you have other contacts here that you trust, buying a new/second hand vehicle for your trip could be an option. Personally I run a 17ft Jayco pop top caravan and a mitsubishi triton td 4wd

My Australian wife and I have just heard about this incredible 12th Step Tag-a-long work and want to come and join you next year 2024.We live in the UK (London) so the planning has to start now!
What we need the most help with is getting a 2 berth motorhome for at least 2 months (Toilet, Kitchen). Checking the Aussie options on the web makes it look expensive and complicated and I figure you may have some contacts or ideas that may help?
We have an Elddis 2 berth 6 metre Autoquest in the UK so know what we’re doing over here. It’s probably a little different in QLD! If you have any thoughts how best we can make this happen, we would be most grateful to hear them.Good luck and happy trails
